We offer a range of services such as Heritage Impact Assessments, Historic Environment Desk-based Assessment, Building recording and other types of research to lead from an evidence-based approach towards the project design that will help you achieve your goals.

Every building is unique, especially the older ones and so there are many different ways to achieve what you need your building to be for you. So, if you would like to make your building more energy efficient, more accessible or to simply flow better, we understand that you will have thought it through and come up with a plan.
We will work with you to get everything in place to secure planning permission, listed building consent or scheduled monument consent. In order to ensure your applications fly through we draw on our knowledge of planning legislation, policy and guidance from Historic England, Cadw and Historic Scotland.

Securing permission to carry out your project is only the start, finding the right traders or contractors to carry out the work in the same spirit as it was planned and according to your permission can be tricky. We have a wide network of highly skilled traders and for larger schemes, conservation building contractors who know how to handle historic fabric and make it live and breathe in the way it was intended.
We can also help you discharge planning conditions such as mortar mix, material details, joinery details and method statements for complex works.
